Missouri House adopts bill to place bail-bonds industry under private investigators board

The sponsor — identified on the floor as the gentleman from Johnson (speaker 6) — told members the change would expand the board's composition to include bail bondsmen, increase training, and give the profession better representation and oversight. "House bill 31 11 is a bill that simply takes oversight of the bail bonds industry and places it under the existing board of private investigators and fire investigators board," the sponsor said. He told the chamber the bill passed committee on professional registration and licensing 21–0 and a rules committee 11–0 and carries a zero fiscal note.
