County approves $289,678 to scan legacy public health medical records using Hurricane Helene support funds

The budget amendment transfers $289,678 from an unallocated AA 122 grant fund line into a contracted services line for the Public Health scanning project. County materials included a written motion and a line-item transfer request reflecting the expenditure and the corresponding budget code entries.
The item was included on the consent agenda and approved with the remainder of those items. The county noted the project will support electronic access to historical records and improve continuity of care and disaster resilience for the department’s patient records.
