"We can do this site here. It is doable. It's fairly visible," Wilson said of the Green Building site, while also noting the park site could work but may require about $18,000 in auxiliary parking improvements to handle vendors and customers.
Staff estimated 15–20 vendors would be a reasonable starting expectation and emphasized logistics including parking, traffic cones to prevent through traffic, restroom access (town hall or porta‑johns), coordination with parks and public works, and the potential use of a pop‑up event at the park to test operations before permanently locating the market.
Why this matters: The site choice affects visibility, ease of access, staffing and initial vendor capacity. Council asked staff to continue refining logistics and to report back while testing a pop‑up day to assess parking and flows.
