Harlem UD 122 board approves estimated 2025 tax levy, accepts treasurer's reports and OKs several contracts

Among the action items, the board approved a Resolution Declaring Surplus Property (motion: 1st Johnson, 2nd Meeks), accepted the July and August 2025 Treasurer's Report (1st Johnson, 2nd Meeks) and approved the estimated annual 2025 tax levy (1st McKnight, 2nd Meeks). The board also approved a second reading of Policy 8:80 (1st Carlson, 2nd McKinney).
The board approved three contracts: an independent-contractor agreement with Jannice Bubnack to provide tutoring services for Rockford Lutheran School students for FY26 at a total of $4,590.00, to be paid with ESEA Title I funds; an agreement with Thayer Energy Solutions to update exterior lighting at Ralston Elementary for $3,241.01; and an agreement to migrate the district's student information system to Skyward Qmlativ for $9,758.00. Each contract passed on roll call with six ayes and one absence.
