At its meeting the Borough Commission adopted a slate of routine but administratively significant resolutions covering capital contracts, equipment purchases, lease advertising and an appointment to the Planning Board.
Change order. The commission adopted Change Order No. 6 for the Beach Patrol headquarters renovations that reduced certain line items (deductions for reinstalling existing signs and a flagpole and for overhead electrical work) totaling $16,816.90, and added a supplemental concrete topping for the second floor in the amount of $3,990.22. The amended contract cap as read into the record was a not-to-exceed sum of $2,211,597.39. The measure passed on roll call vote.
Equipment and systems. Commissioners authorized the purchase of a Vac-Con sewer cleaner for the Public Works Department and approved expenditure for a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for Public Works; both measures were adopted by unanimous roll call. The meeting also approved a $3,000 contract increase to Contemporary Technology Inc. to provide additional network support/IT specialist services and a $3,000 increase to Colliers Engineering and Design for Seaview Avenue traffic-moving work; both measures passed unanimously as read on the record.
Lease advertisement. The commission authorized advertisement of a sealed-bid notice for lease of a portion of the Nesbitt Center Building pursuant to NJSA 40:12-14a (Local Lands and Buildings Law). The resolution directs the clerk to publish the notice and open bids in accordance with statute.
Appointment and vetting note. Joseph Viscome was appointed to fill Alternate Member #4 on the Wildwood Crest Planning Board, term to 12/31/2026. A commissioner asked whether the individual had been properly vetted; the record shows the fingerprint check had not yet been completed at the time of the vote. The appointment was nonetheless adopted by roll call.
All measures in this package were moved, seconded and adopted by recorded roll-call votes during the meeting.
