Trustees hear director's report; approve amended minutes and $1,190 asphalt repair funded from state aid

Director Ryan Donovan said a follow-up with accounting found an unrecorded salary adjustment and "there's more salaries money than we thought and that we're not as close to spending it all," clarifying earlier confusion about salaries in recent expense reports.
Donovan also reported that Department of Public Works crews patched potholes in the parking lot quickly after staff raised safety concerns, and that the library has continued contract talks with Custom Alarm for a camera-installation proposal; he said the new cameras would be paid from state aid funds once installed.

The director also previewed upcoming programs (including a Pop Up Art booking that slightly exceeds the program budget and will be covered partly by donations) and said staff will attend the Massachusetts Library Association conference later in May. He reported the library budget passed at town meeting and that some departmental benefits questions were held by voters but did not affect the library appropriation.
