13th Circuit probation panel accepts February reports, corrects adult fee total

At a March 11, 2026 meeting of the 13th Circuit circuit‑wide probation panel, members voted to accept the February monthly report and the first‑quarter statistics and approved the monthly bills after adopting an amendment to correct an adult‑fee total, the Chair said.
Susan, the meeting’s staff presenter, delivered the February case and financial statistics. "For LaSalle County, our active caseload was 86," Susan said, and she listed juvenile active caseloads of 86 (LaSalle), 23 (Bureau) and 17 (Grundy), for a circuit juvenile active caseload of 126 and 135 juveniles on probation when administrative counts were included. For adult cases she reported circuit totals of 767 active adult cases and 513 administrative cases, or 1,280 individuals on probation.
Susan also reported fee orders and collections for February: LaSalle had $6,000 ordered for the month (ordered to date $18,300) and $3,108.34 collected in February; Bureau had $2,100 ordered with $290.44 collected; Grundy had $2,725 ordered with $1,775 collected. Circuit totals for February ordered were $10,825 (ordered to date $43,770) and $5,173.78 collected in February (collected to date $16,149.91). On the quarterly figures Susan reported circuit quarterly orders of $48,050 and collections of $16,131.91.
During the motion to accept the February report, a member identified as Sandy pointed out a discrepancy in the quarterly adult ordered total. "There's a total ordered of 48,050. It should be $43,007.70," Sandy said and moved to amend the figures. The Chair called for the amendment; it was seconded, the membership voted 'Aye' and the amendment carried. After the amendment the panel voted to accept the monthly report and the quarterly report and then approved the monthly bills; votes were recorded as 'Aye' and the Chair announced the motions carried.
Susan listed routine county bills for February: LaSalle County $1,289.78 (including corrections to a $1,000 forensics line item), Bureau County $1,341.59, and Grundy County $1,060.06. She also noted a River Valley Detention Center bill for Bureau County of $6,075 and identified a LaSalle juvenile at Chaddock in residential placement with an undetermined release date.
A member asked staff to double‑check the 'collected to date' figures on the quarterly report to ensure they match the reported totals; the Chair acknowledged the request and directed staff to verify the amounts. The panel set its next meeting for April 8 at 10:00 a.m. and adjourned.
The meeting record shows routine administrative oversight actions: acceptance of minutes, approval of bills, an amendment to correct a reported fee total and acceptance of monthly and quarterly probation reports. The panel did not receive public comment at this session.
