Coach Miller thanked the board and listed team members, noting injuries but celebrating the squad’s state championship — the first alpine title for NCHS since 1990. Assistant coach Breyer Vick also was acknowledged for supporting the team during the season.
Principal Wilson and math teachers Ashley Howell and Tim Faust described the Wyoming State math contest format and results. Ashley Howell announced Division A placings including Thomas Gorman (first), Ben Maggi (fourth) and Phoebe Zeller (sixth), and Division B results including Tyler Carr (first) and Bridal Hargreaves (second). Both Division A and B achieved the best overall team awards, bringing team trophies back to the school. Thomas Gorman later described contest logistics and scoring (four 20-minute tests of 10 questions and a two-question team portion scored on distance from the correct three-digit answer).
Trustees offered congratulations in trustee comments, and several noted pride in students’ achievements. The board used the recognition portion of the agenda to highlight student success before moving into routine business.
