Logan County planning commission to begin review of updated comprehensive plan and zoning regulations

The update was presented by Mr. Marvin during the commission's regular quarterly meeting in the Stapleton Courthouse. He said the board would receive the draft soon and set an expectation to start formal review sessions late next month.
Commission members said they intend to use that review to consider specific local concerns raised at the meeting. Board Member James Main asked the commission to look at utility pole placement near roadways, particularly at corners, and the commission agreed to address that issue with Mr. Marvin when they review the relevant section of the new zoning regulations.
The commission took no formal regulatory action at the April 6 meeting on the comprehensive plan; Mr. Marvin's update set the schedule for staff and commissioners to examine the draft once it is delivered. The board's next regular meeting is July 6, 2026, when further consideration could appear on the agenda.
