At its meeting, the Oak Hill School Building Corporation accepted the resignation of President Michael Hicks, effective Dec. 31, 2025. The chair said Hicks emailed his resignation and the email was included in the meeting packet. A committee member moved to accept the resignation, a second was recorded, and the chair called the vote and recorded approval.
The chair then recommended Jacob Morrifull as a new member to the building corporation; Morrifull had sent an email expressing interest and was unable to attend. The recommendation was moved and seconded; no separate roll-call vote was recorded in the transcript for that item.
The chair proposed officers to replace the outgoing president: Ryan Smith for president, Corbett Moses for vice president, and Jacob (on the call) for secretary/treasurer. A motion and a second were recorded and the chair said signatures would be gathered when members meet on Friday to complete paperwork.
Next steps: staff will follow up to obtain signatures and to schedule onboarding for the new member; the corporation will proceed with the financing and procurement items discussed later in the agenda.
