District staff briefed the board on the spring assessment schedule. Staff reported that the initial iReady pretest window closed in March and that a second window for students who did not pass opens around May 12; grades have limited retake opportunities and third graders face mandatory summer school if they do not meet the stated requirements.
Staff also said the iLearn testing window will begin next Monday and continue through roughly June 20, meaning testing will occupy much of the remainder of the school year. Staff and the board discussed grade-specific logistics for administering tests and the district’s expectations for improved results compared with prior years.
The briefing was informational; no formal action was taken. The board noted it would discuss school-letter grading changes at an upcoming meeting.
