Cloverdale school foundation to rename itself and reports smaller fundraising haul this year

She said last year the foundation donated about $61,000; this year it plans to contribute roughly $47,000 with proposed splits including approximately $18,000 to Jefferson, $18,000 to Washington and smaller amounts to the high school and district‑wide programs. Parker highlighted that bus costs can be expensive — she cited a bus cost of about $5,200 to take eighth graders to Angel Island — and encouraged trustees and the community to refer potential donors and consider more coordinated county‑wide fundraising efforts.
The foundation is exploring a coordinated fundraising push across district groups and PTAs and said an Office of Education county program contributed about $3,500 this year. Parker asked the board for continued volunteer and donor support and said the foundation will return with additional detail as needed.
