District finance staff presented the 2025–26 second interim fiscal report and recommended a positive certification, meaning staff believe the district can meet its current and next two years' obligations despite enrollment pressures.
The presenter said the district’s October enrollment count that drives funding is 1,248 and reported an average daily attendance (ADA) for month 7 of 1,148.03. Staff noted that approximately 62% of budgeted revenues have been received and about 63% of expenditures have been recorded to date. The presenter said the district meets its 3% economic reserve (about $748,737) and has a board‑committed reserve currently around $431,849 but warned that the committed reserve declines in the out years and will require monitoring and potential expense adjustments.
The staff presentation called out the upcoming P‑2 attendance period (the last attendance period that determines funding) ending on or before April 15; trustees were told final funding estimates will follow that period and the governor’s May Revised budget, which the district will use to finalize its June budget adoption.
After discussion acknowledging the need to watch declining enrollment and to align expenses, the board moved to approve the second interim report with a positive certification; the motion carried with all trustees voting in favor.
