Campbell told the Board that countywide facilities sales tax revenue remains strong and presented operational account graphs and a three-year comparison of local, state and federal revenues and expenses. He said the solar vendor under consideration offers two contract options—a seven-year program and a 15-year program—and estimated approximately a 12-month construction timeline. Campbell said the "One Big Beautiful Bill" contains specific guidelines for solar energy initiatives and indicated that the district would need to move quickly if it wished to pursue the vendor's proposal.
Board members asked questions and received additional input during the information-item portion of the meeting, but no formal motion or vote to pursue a contract was recorded.
