Harrison County Community Foundation reports $223.3 million year-to-date value after 2025 grants and casino transfers

Julie Moorman, president and CEO of the Harrison County Community Foundation, and CFO Derrick Grigsby presented the foundation’s quarterly financial update to the county commissioners on Feb. 17.
Grigsby told the board the foundation received casino transfers of $2,242,064.25 and that the foundation’s 2025 Community Fund grants totaling $5.8 million were fully paid out. He reported a quarterly performance of approximately 2.11% with an ending balance of $210,805,700.41. For 2026 year-to-date, the community fund was positive 5.9% with a reported value of $223,321,331.21.
The presentation was informational; commissioners thanked foundation staff for the briefing and for coordination with county departments during recent inclement weather.
Moorman and Grigsby indicated the foundation will continue to provide routine quarterly updates to county officials.
