She noted the library's bus-line location increases accessibility for users seeking services.
Holt also reported that the first strategic-plan workshop drew only a trustee and one staff member and was cancelled to avoid running a consultant session with no attendees. "We did have our first strategic plan workshops yesterday and they were a flop," she said. Holt said she and the consultant will revise the session structure and outreach, and that she will promote the relaunch at the Friends of the Carson City Library luncheon; she noted more than 300 electronic survey responses had been received compared with roughly 100 in 2019. Trustees discussed timing and agreed staff training and future sessions will be scheduled to improve participation.
