At the end of its Feb. 13 meeting, Lynwood Unified's legal counsel reported the board's closed-session actions.
Counsel told the board that (1) the board approved a settlement with payment of $7,350 and (2) the board approved a separation agreement with remuneration of $58,172. Counsel reported the first action passed with a 3–0 vote and one board member recused and the second passed with a 3–0 vote with one board member not present. Several other items in closed session were reported as "received information" with no final action.
The board did not discuss these cases in open session beyond the counsel's report. The district will file the required public records consistent with Government Code and district policy for reported settlements and separations.
