Lynwood Unified approves citizen oversight appointments and routine items; Jason Vasquez appointment confirmed

On agenda item 10b the board appointed Irma Arroyo, Sergio Bañuelos, Prisceda Gonzalez, Blanca Mendoza, Magali Ochoa, Imelda Rodriguez and Claudia Velasquez to the Citizens' Oversight Committee for two‑year terms (2024–26). The motion carried on a voice vote.
The board opened a public hearing to consider the appointment of Jason Vasquez, received no testimony, closed the hearing and approved his appointment after a motion and a second. A recorded voice vote showed approval with no opposition.
Board members also approved minutes from Jan. 9, 2025, moved several grouped action items (13 c 1–3), and adopted Resolution 2425/43. The consent agenda was approved by voice vote; where tallies were announced the motions carried 4–0.
The meeting record shows motions were made, seconded, and approved by the board; the district clerk will publish the final minutes and appointment paperwork in accordance with standard procedures.
