The Granite Falls City Council on Sept. 4 voted to excuse Councilmember Straughn and approved the consent agenda, which included meeting minutes and claims and payroll disbursements.
Councilmember FitzGerald moved to excuse Councilmember Straughn from the meeting; Councilmember Glenn seconded the motion and it carried, according to the minutes. Later the council considered the consent agenda, which Councilmember Glenn moved to approve and Councilmember Griggs seconded. The consent agenda listed AB 090-2024 (Aug. 21 minutes), AB 091-2024 (Aug. 28 special meeting minutes), claims checks #414557 through #414595 totaling $620,895.08, and payroll items including check #27579 and nineteen EFTs totaling $74,664.40; the motion carried.
The actions were recorded as routine procedural items. No roll-call vote tally by individual member was recorded in the minutes beyond the listed mover and seconder and the notation “Carried.”
The council then proceeded to staff reports and announcements.
The meeting was held in person and via Zoom at the Civic Center in Granite Falls and was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Hartman.
