City staff: pole hardware arrived; Business Highway 2 poles to be set next week

Evan Peterson, filling in for Todd, updated the Water and Lake Commission on March 18 that additional information from Milliburn resolved pole-assembly questions for the Business Highway 2 landing project and Northwest Electric has the correct installation hardware and plans to set poles starting next week.
“We received additional information from Milliburn, on the pole assembly issues. Northwest Electric has received their correct installation hardware and plans to set poles starting next week,” Peterson said. Todd confirmed staff had received Milliburn’s letter and that crews should be ready to proceed once scheduled.
Peterson also told commissioners staff met March 10 with department leads to compile a materials list expected to be packaged for bid at the next commission meeting and listed other ongoing items including an industrial park submittal, Central Middle School solar interconnection, and review of blue-plate drawings.
No action or vote was taken on the Business Highway 2 item at the meeting; staff said they expect pole setting in the coming week and will return with any contract or bid documents that require commission approval.
