Oconto Falls board approves baseball-field bids and accepts $100,000 naming donation

The Oconto Falls Public School District board voted to approve additional bids and change-order authority for the district’s new baseball complex and accepted a $100,000 donation in exchange for naming rights.

District project staff reviewed the current bid packages and contingency usage. Staff said previously approved bids total about $1,004,072 and that $11,392 of contingency has been used, leaving $87,002.77. They asked the board to approve additional estimates for electrical and other items and signaled roughly $60,000 in additional electrical work to establish foundations for future stadium lighting.

Project staff recommended the board approve the proposed estimates and any change orders that align with the board’s established thresholds for reporting.
