Christian County Commission approves routine contract renewals, reappoints board member and names library trustee

The commission also approved an addendum to a Special Events Permit (Order no. 01-05-2026-01) by unanimous motion.
A vacancy on the Christian County Library Board of Trustees created by the resignation of Diana Brazeale (Ozark-area seat) produced six applicants: Rachel Herrington, Ashley Johnson, Joey Mills, Vickie J. Palmer, David Rice, and Kristen Roussell. Each commissioner cast a ballot; commissioners recorded a unanimous vote for Kristen Roussell. Presiding Commissioner Lynn Morris entertained a motion to appoint Roussell; Eastern Commissioner Bradley A. Jackson moved and Western Commissioner Johnny Williams seconded. The motion carried unanimously (Aye: Jackson, Morris, Williams).
The meeting concluded after a brief communications period and adjourned at 9:37 a.m. The minutes package includes a signature/approval page dated Feb. 19, 2026. The meeting record contains an internal inconsistency: the consent-agenda reference lists an agenda date of Jan. 5, 2026, while the meeting header records the session as Jan. 15, 2026; the minutes do not explain that discrepancy.
