Greenland to adopt a townwide cybersecurity incident response plan; upgrades to meeting AV and transcription set to arrive

Town staff told the Greenland Board of Selectmen on May 5 that the town will establish a townwide cybersecurity incident response plan and that conference-room audiovisual upgrades to support Teams-based streaming and transcription are underway.
Staff said the town met with Corey Casey from PrimeX (the town's cyber insurer) and will establish "a cybersecurity incident response plan" — an approximately 12‑page document to be kept in house that covers networking, departmental responsibilities and incident steps. "This will be the town wide... it will encompass not only the police department, but all of our cyber networking capabilities for any cyber incidents," staff said.
Separately, staff described ordered hardware for the meeting room: a new laptop dedicated to the Teams streaming application, a pan/zoom wall camera, ceiling microphones, additional public‑facing screens, and wiring to support a shared screen view so the public can see planning documents and presentations. Staff confirmed the new setup will include recording and transcription features once commissioned. Installation is expected within about a week for the laptop and by the end of the month for full wiring and mounting, subject to coordination with meeting schedules.
Next steps: staff will finalize the incident response plan with department heads and will schedule the AV installation to minimize disruption to meeting broadcasts.
