Wildwood Crest adopts ordinance updating junior lifeguard fees

The Wildwood Crest Borough Commission voted unanimously to adopt Ordinance 14-41, which rescinds Ordinance 14-40 and amends Chapter 32A (fees) to update rates and fees for the borough’s junior lifeguard program. The measure was placed on second and final reading, a public hearing was opened and, with no public comments either in the room or on the conference line, the hearing was closed and the ordinance was passed by roll call.

The ordinance was read by the clerk and commissioners moved and seconded the procedural motions required to advance and adopt the text by title. The roll call vote recorded Commissioners Schiff, Franco and Cabrera voting in favor; no ‘no’ votes, abstentions, or recusals were recorded.

Because no members of the public spoke at the hearing, no amendments or changes to the ordinance were proposed during the meeting. The clerk announced the ordinance as adopted on second and final reading and directed staff to advertise and to take customary administrative steps to finalize adoption in accordance with statutory notice requirements.

The adoption updates the borough’s fee schedule related to junior lifeguards under Chapter 32A of the Wildwood Crest code.
