Executive Director Keisha Smith presented the post‑election report: of 18,047 registered voters in the district at the snapshot used for canvass, 1,050 ballots were cast, a turnout of 5.82 percent. Of those ballots, 773 were cast on election day, 269 during early voting, and 8 were absentee‑by‑mail. Smith said New Bethel AME Church was the most used early‑voting site for that race and Winbrook Elementary School was the most used election‑day polling place.
A board member asked why an out‑of‑precinct ballot was rejected; Smith replied the voter was not eligible in that district. After discussion, the board voted to certify and took a five‑minute recess so staff could sign certification documents to be forwarded to the city.
