"They will actually maintain the space and cut the grass and do everything else," Director Homa said, adding that the hospital will operate the gate and provide security and that parking will be available during regular park hours (7 a.m. to 8 p.m.).
Council members asked about perimeter fencing and maintenance costs; Director Homa confirmed there is no perimeter fence and said the hospital will handle maintenance and security. Council member Connie Lee Kleinfelder noted the resolution's resolved clause includes a misspelling and requested extending the agreement end date from Dec. 31, 2026 to Dec. 31, 2027; Director Homa said she would support amending the date and the chair indicated she would bring the date amendment to the full council.
The committee voted to forward Resolution 4-74 to the full council with a favorable recommendation; the clerk recorded nine ayes.
