At its April 8 meeting Nemaha County’s Board of Commissioners accepted a $21,120 quote from Midwest Engineering, Inc. for 2026 routine, special and NSTM (FC) bridge inspections.
Commissioner Bryan Mellage moved to accept the Midwest Engineering quote; Mike Hall seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously to award the work. Minutes list an alternate lower quote from Mainelli Wagner & Associates at $20,705 but the board selected Midwest Engineering.
Highway staff reported that Bridge #C006423450, the Box Culvert Project C-64(252) in the Nemaha Southeast area, is getting a good start. On driveway matters the application for Merrill Fisher was withdrawn; the board approved a driveway agreement for Imogene Dunekacke at 72743 629 Avenue (motion by Michael Weiss, seconded by Bryan Mellage; roll call: Mellage, aye; Weiss, aye; Hall, aye).
