At the Oct. 1 Village of Maywood Board meeting trustees approved a package of grants, vendor payments and administrative items through an omnibus motion.
The board authorized acceptance of an Invest in Cook/Connecting Cook County grant for $122,400 to fund Phase II engineering for Washington Boulevard (22nd to 9th Avenue). The omnibus motion also authorized payments to vendors that included Allied Waste Service ($150,380.00), Baker Tilly ($27,700.00), Comcast ($10,822.97), Ford Municipal Credit Company ($88,521.01), Hancock Engineering ($47,188.00) and other items listed in agenda items A–P. The aggregate Warrant List No. 200478 covering expenses through Aug. 26, 2019 was approved earlier in the meeting for $1,862,788.19.
Trustees approved the omnibus items by voice vote with all members present voting in favor. Several items were approved with a waiver of the competitive-bid process where noted in the packet; staff said the documentation for those waivers was included in the meeting materials. The board did not record detailed implementation timelines for each vendor payment on the floor; payments follow standard procurement and accounting procedures of the village.
