Councilwoman Aline was elected chair of the Richland County Office of Small Business Ad Hoc Committee at its March 17, 2026 meeting, winning a unanimous vote after a nomination and second.
The election followed the committee’s approval of minutes and adoption of the meeting agenda. After the clerk recorded the unanimous roll-call vote, Councilwoman Aline took the gavel and thanked colleagues for their support.
"First, let me thank my colleagues for the confidence that they placed in me in electing me as chair," Aline said, adding that she appreciated Vice Chairman Pugh's prior leadership and that she looks forward to building on work to create opportunity for small businesses in Richland County.
The committee moved on to scheduled items, including an OSBO program update and a discussion about exploring a county revolving loan fund for small businesses. The committee later approved staff follow-up actions by unanimous vote.
