The Centennial City Council on Feb. 3 approved two ordinances that staff and the applicant said will enable redevelopment in Midtown Centennial: (1) rezoning about 14 acres at 7400 South Alton Court from Business Park (BP 75) to Employment Center Mixed Use (ECMU 75) with the Midtown Centennial overlay (case RZONEDash25Dash0005; Ordinance 2026‑O‑01), and (2) vacating a roughly 0.047‑acre right-of-way adjacent to 9201 East Dry Creek Road (VACPDash25Dash00001; Ordinance 2026‑O‑02). Both measures passed on unanimous voice votes, recorded as 7 ayes.
Staff planner Jess LeCombrecht told council the rezoning aligns with the city’s newly adopted Midtown Centennial subarea plan and the comprehensive plan’s future land use map, and that the proposal satisfies the land development code’s approval criteria for rezoning.
