Board approves consent items including hospital security contract increase and housing grant awards

At its March 17 regular meeting the San Francisco Board of Supervisors adopted a package of consent items and routine resolutions that included contract amendments, grant acceptances and first‑reading ordinances.
Among the consent approvals:
- A resolution approving a fifth contract amendment for unarmed security guard services at San Francisco General Hospital to extend the term to Dec. 14, 2026 and increase the contract by $3,200,000 to a new total of $15,380,000. The clerk read the contract amendment and the president recorded the item adopted.
- A retroactive authorization to accept and expend approximately $1,400,000 from the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) for participation in a capacity and infrastructure program (term Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2026); the board authorized the city to release claims against the DHCS and its third‑party administrator arising out of the grant program.
- A resolution authorizing the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development (MOHCD) to execute standard agreements with the California Department of Housing and Community Development for an approximately $47.6 million award connected to a 100% affordable housing project and related transportation/street improvements (the item references ~$12.57M for transportation and streetscape work).
- Retroactive acceptance and expenditure of a $3,000,000 grant from JPMorgan Chase Bank for implementing the Stop Scams SF program (term Dec. 15, 2025–Dec. 14, 2028).
The clerk confirmed general roll calls where recorded; several consent measures were taken "same house, same call" and adopted without objection. Several ordinances (including an amendment to the police code requiring notaries or immigration assistance providers to provide city information on low‑cost legal services) were passed on first reading as part of the consent calendar.
The board moved on to committee reports and then to special orders for the afternoon.
