The settlement materials accompanying the agreement state subdivisions must submit an executed participation and release form by May 4, 2026 for initial participation calculations; participating subdivisions authorize dismissal with prejudice of covered claims once the settlement proceeds for a given defendant.
What the county approved: Agreement #26-11 authorizes participation in the settlement framework covering Associated Pharmacies (and American Associated Pharmacies), J M Smith Corporation, Morris and Dickson Co., Louisiana Wholesale Drug Company, North Carolina Mutual Wholesale Drug Company, and United Natural Foods, Inc. The county’s executed form would release claims against participating remnant defendants to the extent described in the settlement documents and is submitted through a claims administrator process described in the notice materials.
