The Joliet Township High School District 204 Board of Trustees approved a large set of personnel actions on Aug. 19, 2025, including resignations, leaves of absence, hires for certificated and classified positions, extra-pay assignments for coaches and activity sponsors, salary-advancement recommendations and administrative additional-assignment compensation.
Personnel items approved included professional resignations and leaves (several maternity and medical leaves), a slate of extra-pay athletic and activity assignments across Central and West campuses, salary-advancement requests, multiple task-force substitutes and full-time hires with stated steps and salaries, and classified hires and status changes. The board approved grouped personnel reports (reports 1–5 and 7–11) by roll-call vote; one recorded Nay was cast by Mr. Thomas Fitzpatrick on a grouped motion and other votes recorded individual abstentions where noted.
In a separate action on student discipline, Mr. Dan Coffey moved to approve an expulsion abeyance agreement for student C242523 for the 2025–26 school year. Mr. Coffey opened the item “after receiving and deliberating the information in the Expulsion Abeyance Agreement.” The motion carried on a roll-call vote (Ayes: Mrs. Lorraine Guerrero Neumayer, Dr. Angela Huntington, Mr. Dan Coffey, Mrs. Michelle Stiff, Mr. Matt Kennedy; Nays: Mr. Thomas Fitzpatrick; Abstain: Mrs. Christine Lynn).
Why it matters: The personnel approvals populate staff rosters before the start of the school year and set pay/step assignments for extracurricular programs. The expulsion abeyance agreement resolves a student-discipline matter for the coming school year with conditions set in the agreement.
Next steps: The approved hires and assignments take effect on the dates listed in the personnel reports; the expulsion abeyance agreement governs student C242523’s status for the 2025–26 school year as described in the agreement on file with district administration.
