Board approves contract extensions for superintendent and senior executives through 2027
Summary

The Board voted to extend employment agreements for four district executives — the superintendent, deputy superintendent/chief financial officer, assistant superintendent of academic services and assistant superintendent of human resources — through June 30, 2027.
Board President read an oral summary into the record pursuant to Government Code §54953, subdivision (c)(3), including step/range placements on the management confidential salary schedule and one-time off-schedule payments equal to 3.72% of total compensation for the 2023–24 fiscal year. The superintendent was placed on range 69 with an annual base (as read into the record) and will advance steps each year until reaching the maximum; similar step placements and one-time payments were described for the deputy superintendent and assistant superintendents. All other terms and fringe benefits remain unchanged.
Vice President Mr. Nishi clarified that the terms mirrored compensation changes provided to other management employees.
The motion passed on a recorded voice vote.
