Two trustees abstained; the roll call recorded 5 yes, 0 no, 2 abstain and the motion passed. Board members asked when physical copies were available for review; staff said they were provided in the superintendent's office about two weeks prior to the meeting.
The board also approved a five-year renewal for legal services with Atkinson, Adelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo (term beginning 07/01/2024) and a three-year agreement with Tal Rossini for public-contracts specialty work; both motions passed by board voice vote. Trustees awarded the districtwide trash-services RFP (ABC-16-46) to incumbent CR&R for FY2024-25 with up to four one-year renewal options after receiving only one bid; the motion passed 7-0.
