Committee recommends confirmation of Carlin Llorente to Burke Gilman Place PDA governing council

Mike Hatzenbiller, former chair of the Burke Gilman Place PDA, gave an overview of the site, describing roughly 130'140 affordable housing units on the 20-acre property in northeast Seattle and noting on-site user organizations including Ronald McDonald House Charities, Provail and the Children's Hospital. He said the PDA's work focuses on maintenance, management and oversight of potential future development.
Council members asked about board vacancies and outreach to recruit candidates; Llorente said Provail is already engaged as a user representative on the site and confirmed the PDA currently has two at-large openings and materials to promote the opportunity. Council Member Lynn offered partnership to help fill seats.
Following the presentation, Chair Foster moved to recommend confirmation of appointment 03348. The clerk called the roll; the recorded votes were: Council President Hollingsworth ' Yes; Council Member Juarez ' Aye; Vice Chair Lynn ' Yes; Chair Foster ' Yes. The clerk reported four votes in favor and none opposed. The committee's recommendation to confirm will be sent to the March city council meeting.
The committee's action was a recommendation to the full council; the City Council will take the final confirmation vote.
