The board approved the district's transportation plan (item 10.05) after a brief discussion and a trustee request to pull the item for comment. Trustee Mark Buckman highlighted the district's progress on vehicle electrification, saying the district currently operates 11 electric school buses and stressed the public-health benefits of replacing diesel vehicles.
Staff explained funding assumptions and that the plan includes estimated state reimbursement of about 60% for eligible home-to-school transportation costs. Trustee Unger noted the reimbursement was the result of sustained advocacy and that the measure will provide substantial support for the district's transportation budget.
Buckman moved approval; Unger seconded. The motion carried 6'0'00. The board also approved the rest of the consent agenda items after votes.
