Fullerton trustees re-elect Suling Chen as president; name Megan Watson vice president

The Fullerton Public Library Board of Trustees re-elected Suling Chen as board president and selected Megan Watson as vice president at its Jan. 22, 2026, meeting.
Trustees nominated officers during the meeting’s regular business, then moved and seconded a motion to accept all appointments. The roll-call vote recorded Joshua Dale, Jennifer Sarvis, Megan Watson, Lisa Wozap and Suling Chen voting yes, and the motion carried unanimously.
"I'm very honored," Suling Chen said after trustees offered their support. Chen thanked colleagues and staff for their attendance and said she looked forward to continuing work on library priorities.
Trustees also discussed continuity during the transition to a new library director and emphasized collaboration among members and staff. The board agreed to present several vision- and mission-statement options at the next meeting for further refinement.
The appointments were adopted by unanimous vote and will be reflected in upcoming agendas and minutes. No public comments were raised on the officer nominations during the meeting.
