Chief business-office staff presented three applicants—Jill, Bill Schwann and Phuong Nguyen—and said there were two vacancies and one incumbent who did not wish to continue. Trustee discussion focused on required committee composition; staff acknowledged that the current slate does not include a business partner representative and said the district will continue outreach to recruit that category.
A board member moved to appoint the three volunteers; the motion received a second and carried with one abstention. There were no public comments during the item.
The board also approved two incumbents, Doug Suka and Yen Wolf, for second terms on the oversight committee when their terms expire in August 2025.
Board members requested staff keep the vacancy list open and notify the public when additional categories are needed to meet committee rules.
