Christian County Commission renews WEX fuel contract, approves stormwater MOU and delegates plat authority

The Christian County Commission met in regular session Jan. 8, 2026, at the Historic Christian County Courthouse in Ozark and approved several routine items and intergovernmental paperwork.
Presiding Commissioner Lynn Morris opened the meeting at 9:00 a.m. and confirmed a quorum. Western Commissioner Johnny Williams moved to approve the posted agenda, the Dec. 9, 2025 regular-session minutes, multiple closed-session minutes cited under RSMo 610.021.3, and the auditor's monthly financial report for December 2025; Eastern Commissioner Bradley A. Jackson seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.
Purchasing Manager Kim Hopkins-Will presented a contract renewal for WEX Fuel Card Services. Eastern Commissioner Bradley A. Jackson moved to approve the renewal; Western Commissioner Johnny Williams seconded and the commission approved the contract as presented.
Auditor Amy Dent presented a 2025 budget adjustment for CART funds. Western Commissioner Johnny Williams moved to adopt the adjustment, Eastern Commissioner Bradley A. Jackson seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
Resource Management Director Todd Wiesehan and Senior Planner Jake Phillips recommended entering a memorandum of understanding with the Southwest Missouri Council of Governments (SMCOG) related to a 604(b) stormwater grant. Eastern Commissioner Bradley A. Jackson moved to approve the MOU; Western Commissioner Johnny Williams seconded and the commission approved it.
The commission also voted to grant Senior Planner Jake Phillips authority to sign plats and surveys on behalf of the county as requested. Eastern Commissioner Bradley A. Jackson moved the delegation of authority, Western Commissioner Johnny Williams seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
The commission read two petitions to vacate county roads — DeWitt Cave Road (read by Presiding Commissioner Lynn Morris) and Riverside Road (read by Eastern Commissioner Bradley A. Jackson) — but took no action on either petition during the session. After brief communications, Presiding Commissioner Lynn Morris adjourned the meeting at 9:27 a.m.
