Veterans director cites 75 mph reading, supports Larchwood four-way stop

Hodgson said the city’s speed monitoring, conducted where the posted limit is 25 mph, “has shown speeds of 50 to 60 mph with one at 75 mph.” He told the board the City of Larchwood made a resolution approving the four-way stop and that installation will be at no cost to the county. The minutes record that the board had no issue with the city’s action.
The matter was presented as a safety concern by the county’s Veterans Affairs director; the board took no formal action other than noting the city’s resolution and that the county would not be asked to fund the installation.
