Tecumseh approves $25,000 GRID resiliency agreement, lot transfer and pool repainting bid

Council approved an agreement with SENDD to participate in the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE) Grid Resiliency Project, with Tecumseh's share listed at $25,000. The motion to approve was made by Councilmember Brian Britt, seconded by Lorie Topp, and carried on a 5'0 vote with Alicia Brommer absent.
The council also approved an Economic Development Lot Transfer Agreement with Louis Keim and authorized Mayor Jesse Grof to execute the deed. Travis Goracke moved to approve the transfer; Lorie Topp seconded the motion and the recorded vote was 5'0 in favor.
Finally, the council accepted a bid from Miller Painting and Decorating for municipal swimming pool sandblasting and repainting in the amount of $58,710. The motion was made by Lorie Topp and seconded by Lance Beethe; the vote was 5'0 in favor.
The consent agenda, approved later in the meeting, included acceptance of the Aug. 18, 2025 meeting minutes and payment of city bills. The minutes do not include contract documents, transfer deeds or bid specifications; those records should be consulted for the complete terms and any contingency language.
