CalPERS CEO Miss Frost reported to the California Public Employees Retirement System board that the fund’s annual employee engagement survey showed improved results and high participation, and she recognized a technology leader for an industry award.
Miss Frost said participation in the survey was about 78% and that scores rose in every category compared with 2024, with the highest marks in customer focus, manager relationships, clarity of direction and respect and dignity. She reported the organization’s net promoter score rose to 25.5, a 16.4‑point increase from 2024.
"86 percent of team members noted that their team leaders support skill and career development and 85 percent reported their leaders recognize their achievements," Miss Frost said, and she stressed that the surveys are treated as action items that produce customized department-level plans.
Miss Frost also introduced Jagmeet Bender, saying he was named chief technology officer of the year by the California Public Sector CIO Academy and praising his work on data protection and technology innovation. She invited a round of applause for Bender before moving on to details about action plans.
