Oscoda County approves consent calendar, budget amendments and expenditure report

The Oscoda County Board of Commissioners on March 25 approved its consent calendar, accepted the county’s February expenditure report and enacted several targeted budget amendments.
Commissioner Charles E. Varner called the meeting to order at 10 a.m., and the board then voted to approve the agenda and consent calendar, recording the approval in motion 2025-092. The consent calendar included a request to add $1,573.29 to the Smith Lake insurance line and minor motor pool and departmental adjustments tied to unused paid-time-off payouts for 2024.
The board reviewed payroll and fund totals for February 2025, which show aggregated fund subtotals of $1,323,165.84 and a grand total of $1,530,831.97. County staff presented the Claims and Audit Docket for March 25, 2025, in the amount of $127,406.19, which the board received as part of the consent items.
In separate finance votes, the board approved a $2,736 annual Shop Management Software subscription for the Motor Pool (motion 2025-097) at the request of Motor Pool Supervisor Chris Fuhr and amended the Motor Pool budget to cover a $1,730.17 garage door repair already paid out of the Motor Pool equipment repair line (motion 2025-098).
Board members who voted in favor recorded their votes by roll call. No public opposition to the budget measures was recorded during the meeting.
The board set its next regular meeting for April 8, 2025.
