The Columbia CUSD 4 Board of Education opened its reorganizational meeting at 7:00 p.m., administered oaths of office to seated members and completed officer elections for the board's two-year term.
Recording secretary Kim Johnson administered the oath; trustees repeated the oath including the statement "I, Greg Meyer," identifying one trustee by name during swearing-in. After the oath the board appointed a president pro tem, elected Greg Meyer as president, Lisa Schumacher as vice president, Tyson Search as board secretary, Kim Johnson as recording secretary and Mark Jansen as treasurer. Officers were confirmed by voice votes without recorded opposition.
The reorganizational meeting adjourned and the board convened a regular meeting at 7:10 p.m. The board confirmed a quorum and recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
No contested elections or roll-call objections were recorded during the organizational votes. The board then proceeded with its regular agenda, including public comment and multiple action items later in the evening.
