Council members described the proposal as a broadly supported, low‑controversy item and moved to approve the naming while delegating final wording and nameplate details to parks staff and the family. The council approved the motion by voice vote and asked staff to coordinate with Christine’s family on the final naming plaque and dedication timing.
The naming decision will be recorded in the minutes and staff will update facility signage and records in coordination with the family.
