During its April 8, 2025 meeting the Milledgeville City Council adopted several non‑land‑use measures, including a new public‑arts ordinance and two procurement resolutions.
The council gave second reading to an ordinance adding Chapter 59 (Public Arts) to the city code and approved it on roll call by unanimous vote among councilmembers present. City staff and mayor recognized Max Harleman and students who helped draft the ordinance.
Council also adopted Resolution R‑25‑04‑08 to authorize an agreement for internet services with Spectrum Business Services and Resolution R‑25‑04‑09 to authorize a sales/lease agreement with Superior Document Solutions for copier lease and maintenance for multiple city departments (Fire, Public Works, Water Utilities). Both resolutions were approved by roll call.
No substantive debate on the contract terms was recorded in the meeting minutes; staff indicated standard procurement review and vendor selection procedures were followed. Council did not appoint any alcohol‑license applicants and reported no closed session for that evening.
