Chester County approves $110.2 million behavioral‑health contract, group‑insurance amendment and federal‑funded EV charging project

Pat Bachovitz, director of Human Services, presented two items: a $40,000 amendment with Holcomb Associates to support services related to mental‑health court, and the county’s annual amendment with Community Care Behavioral Health for managed Medicaid behavioral‑health services in the amount of $110,192,830 for the calendar year.
The board voted to approve the contracts by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
On grants, Kelly Meal, deputy director of Aging Services, presented a Pennsylvania Department of Aging Title 19 grant for long‑term care and information/referral supports totaling $59,484. The board approved that grant.
Rachel Griffith of the Planning Commission presented a resolution to award a construction contract to Kucharnik Construction Inc. to install electric‑vehicle charging stations at 12 county facilities. The contract award is for $774,153.50 and will be reimbursed through federal Community Project Funding awarded in 2022. Commissioners said the sites are mainly parks and trailheads; the award passed unanimously.
