The Joliet Township High School District 204 Board of Trustees on July 15 voted unanimously to approve a package of operational items, including an agreement with the Joliet Public Library, a Teacher Performance Evaluation Agreement, the district’s copy paper bid for 2025–2026 and a worker’s compensation insurance recommendation.
Board action began with approval of the consent agenda, which included the June 17 meeting minutes, payroll and activity reports, responses to Freedom of Information Act requests and the check register. The consent motion was made by Mrs. Michelle Stiff and seconded by Mrs. Lorraine Guerrero Neumayer and carried on a roll-call vote with all members present voting yes.
During the action-item portion of the meeting the board approved: an interagency agreement with the Joliet Public Library (motion by Mrs. Guerrero Neumayer, second by Mr. Dan Coffey); the Teacher Performance Evaluation Agreement (motion by Mrs. Stiff, second by Mrs. Guerrero Neumayer); the copy paper bid for the 2025–2026 school year (motion by Mr. Coffey, second by Mrs. Stiff); and the workers’ compensation insurance recommendation (motion by Mrs. Guerrero Neumayer, second by Mrs. Stiff). Roll-call votes on each motion were unanimous among trustees present.
The board also approved an extensive personnel report that included professional resignations and a retirement, multiple requests for salary advancement, athletic and extracurricular extra-pay recommendations across campuses, additional summer assignments, substitute and classified employment recommendations, leave and a single termination. The personnel motion was made by Mrs. Guerrero Neumayer, seconded by Mr. Coffey, and approved by roll call (ayes: Fitzpatrick, Guerrero Neumayer, Coffey, Stiff, Kennedy; nays: none). Specific effective dates, step changes and individual salaries where listed in the board materials.
No substantive debate or public comment was recorded on these items. The motions were procedural and carried by the board members present. The meeting adjourned at 7:59 p.m.
