The Register & Recorder reported $47,504.58 remitted to the county in January and $1,444,154.94 in total business; January recordings included 121 deeds and 103 mortgages. The sheriff's January revenue collection figures were presented in detail, totaling $17,069.01 across interest, civil fees, license fees, personal property and real estate receipts. The treasurer reported a remittance of $2,888.00 to the County Commission for January.
The board then approved the bills dated Jan. 30, 2026, totaling $257,922.83; the motion was made by Commissioner Kovach, seconded by Commissioner Karschner and recorded as approved.
Under correspondence, PPL informed the commissioners it plans to rebuild an electrical transmission line on parcel #25 01 00700 beginning around March 1, 2026, with work scheduled to conclude by June 1, 2026. The board did not take further action on the PPL notice during the meeting.
No public comment was recorded and the meeting adjourned after completion of the agenda.
